Cultivar: Jinxuan and Tsui Yu.
Harvested: April 10th 2024.
Origin: Pinglin area, Wenshan, northern Taiwan
Process: Lightly oxidized, twisted, well dried, no stems.
1. View
The dry leaves are nicely twisted and dark green. The brew has a good transparency and an intense green color. The open leaves look mixed and their rims have light red oxidation marks.
2. Scents
The dry scents are dry wood. The brew starts with a light marshmallow scent and then continues with subtropical forest scents.
3. Taste
The taste has a zesty note and is quite mellow. The aftertaste is thick and quite long for a Baozhong.
Conclusion: A great everyday Baozhong for all those who like fresh and sweet Oolongs.
